Children communicate through the world of play, and play is a child's natural form of self expression.
Play Therapy is a beautiful, non-intrusive and effective way to help children work through emotional, psychosocial and behavioural difficulties. This form of therapy is usually held in a playroom that has a range of carefully selected toys and materials providing an opportunity for the child to 'play out' feelings and problems.
Catherine Slattery is our Child Psychotherapist and Play Therapist and is passionate about therapy with young children.
Catherine has over 20 years of experience working with children, with some of her early work began in the UK as a consultant nanny and her specialist training and practice as a child psychotherapist. Catherine provides mentoring to parents on pre and post pregnancy, attachment and bonding, sleep and eating difficulties, behavioural and psychological distress.
